Angela Bahus was born in the south. Growing up, she watched her mother read every night from a stack of dog-eared paperbacks that were kept under the end table by the couch and dreamt of being the beautiful lady with the long, flowing hair on the front cover. 

 

By the time Angela was in the 6th grade, the librarian at her small rural school told her she needed to read books “over there” in the high school section since she had read all the books “on this side”. At the age of 12, she gave her first oral book report on Victoria Holt’s historical romance, Mistress of Mellyn. Angela’s detailed and enthusiastic recommendation of this novel to her classmates wasn’t as welcomed as she had hoped. 

 

Soon after devouring the school library’s limited selection of romance novels and banned from giving any more book reports, Angela picked up one of her mother’s Harlequins to read and has never stopped. Her favorite author of all time is the queen of romance, Nora Roberts. 

 

Angela prides herself on reading an average of 300-ish romance novels per year. She is a firm believer that listening to audio books should be called reading and has told her friend Darra countless times that she should stop arguing with her about it- IT IS READING.
